The Heart of the Human Problem — The Problem of the Human Heart

We’ve framed salvation almost exclusively in moral terms.

Jesus came to take away our sins, yes. But the incarnation is not just the method by which salvation happens —

the incarnation is salvation.

Adam and Eve’s sin didn’t just create a moral debt needing repayment; it fractured communion.

Their sin created distance — not because God pulled away, but because we hid.

We covered ourselves. We stepped back.

We chose alienation.

And so Jesus comes not just to fix a legal quandary,

but to restore what was lost: God’s presence with us.

God heals our hearts' fear of being left alone through the incarnation.
